Angelica flowers with green white flower screens on darkgreen stems with darkgreen leaves. It is used in herbal medicine as a disinfencant, it is also used to relieve fluctulance and it stimulates the digestion. The seeds and roots are used to give flavour to licors. The shortly cooked leaves can be used as vegetables. Angelica is lightly poisinous and because of that the use is discouraged for people with diabetes and for pregnant women. The leaves are also used to make a tisane to help the digestion. Bathing in an infusion of the root can help to relief rheumatic pains. Perennial. Heigth: 150-200 cm.

Sow outdoors from april on in a prepared seedbed in a sunny spot. Cover the seeds lightly or rake them gently in. Angelica is a lightgerminator. Keep moist and weed free.
In may, transplant the seedlings, when they are large enough to handle. Replant them in the beginning of september on their permanent sunny with some shade spot. Angelica can reseed itself easily.
