Spring Onion White Lisbon is an organically grown, very popular and very deliciously flavoured spring onion variety. It has a long, straight, white shaft with bright green foliage. This variety can be harvested young or a bit older. How older the shafts get, how spicier the flavour.
The deliciously, mild onion flavour with it's crisp and unusual bite can be used in salads, soups, sauces, pastasauces, stews, ovendishes, stir-fries and in different other recipies. This easy to grow and use variety can also be grown in large pots, containers and in a mixed border. White Lisbon can be harvested after about 60 - 65 days after sowing. It can be grown in all sowing periods from march till september. Sow small amounts each time in different periods to keep harvesting again and again.

Harvest your spring onions after about 60 days and leaves some in the soil for a later harvest. Don't sow onions on a plot where onions have grown in the past years. Onions need fertile soil that has been manured with some fresh manure. You can keep your spring onions fresh for about 7 - 10 days in the crisper compartiment of your fridge.
