Perennial Wall-Rocket is an organically grown rocket variety. It's also known as sand rocket or sand mustard. This easy to grow and sow perennial has a spicy, slightly bitter flavour and it's flavour is much stronger than the flavour of rocket. The leaves from Perennial Wall-Rocket are darkgreen and serrated.
Perennial Wall-Rocket is very healthy and versatile. Perennial Wall-Rocket contains a.o.: vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B11, D, E, K and a lot of vitamin C. And the minerals: calcium, phosphor, iron, potassium, copper, magnesium, sodium and zinc. Perennial Wall-Rocket contains also amino acids, crude fibres and little calories. You can use Perennial Wall-Rocket briefly stir fried and steamed or add it raw to salads, as garnish, in omelettes, on Pizzas, with Carpaccio or add it last minute to soups. You can also make a delicious and healthy Pesto with Perennial Wall-Rocket. Perennial Wall-Rocket is very delicious in combination with: cheese, eggs, garlic, mustard, lemon, salmon, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, pasta, nuts, apple, pine nuts, parmesan, tuna, yogurt, potatoes, oranges, shrimps, beef and soy sauce. And with various vegetables such as: lettuce, tomato, sweet pepper, onions, courgette, cucumber, corn salad, spinach and carrots. Hardy perennial. Height: 20 - 60 cm.

Sow Perennial Wall-rocket outdoors from March till September. All soil types are suited for sowing and extra fertilizing isn't necessary. Sow on a sunny plot with some shade to prevent bolting. Sow sparingly and cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil or press the seeds gently in. Keep moist and weed free.
Thin the seedlings, when They're large enough to handle, to 15 cm apart. Protect the seedlings against snails, slugs, caterpillars and aphids. Water extra during dry spells. Protect the seedlings against frost.
You can harvest by picking the leaves when needed, after about 30 days. Leave the majority of the plants intact, too let them grow on for a later harvest. Pluck often to encourage new growth. Use Perennial Wall-Rocket straight after harvesting, because it can't be kept fresh for very long. Perennial wall-rocket is very well suited for growing in large containers or pots on the balcony.
