Winter radish Black round is an origanicaly grown variety. This variety has to been sown later in the year than radish and needs more growing time than radish. This black round tuber has white, crisp and sharp tasting flesh that has a stronger flavour than the flesh of radish. This variety can be eaten raw in salads or with a beer and some salt. It's flesh can also be cooked or stewed, but the flavour changes to a much milder flavour. Non hardy annual.

Sow small amounts each time You sow, because this radish variety gets a lot bigger than other varieties. Sow outdoors from the middle of June till the beginning of September. Sow thinly and sparsely and cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil. Keep about 10 - 15 cm between the seeds. And about 25 cm between the rows.
Thin the seedlings to 15 - 20 cm apart, when they're large enough to handle. For a continuous harvest: sow small amounts every 2-3 weeks. Don't use to much fertilizer because too much feeding can cause rotting.
