Sow indoors from March in trays or seperate pots with fine potting soil. Cover the seeds barely with a thin layer of potting soil. Cover the pots or trays with some clingfilm or a lid to preserve the moisture. Keep the temperature during the germination as even as possible. Don't let the temperature drop during the night. Keep moist. Remove the clingfilm or the lid when the seedlings emerge. Transplant the seedlings outdoors to about 20-30 cm apart on a sunny and sheltered plot in May, when there's no longer any danger of nightfrosts.
Sow outdoors on a sunny, sheltered plot with some support at the end of April. Broadcast the seeds and rake in the seeds gently. Keep moist and weedfree. Thin the seedlings, when they're large enough to handle, to 20 cm apart. Corn Cockle can sow itself out and is very attractive to bees and butterflies. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
