Sow indoors in seeding trays or seperate pots with potting soil. Cover the seeds with a tiny layer of soil. Keep the temperature as even as possible during the germination. Don't let the temperature drop during the night. Keep moist. Cover the tray with a lid and the pots with some clingfilm to preserve the moisture. Remove the lid or clingfilm when the seedlings emerge. Transplant the seedlings outdoors to a sunny plot in mid may, when there's no longer any danger of nightfrosts. Keep about 20-30 cm apart.
Sow outdoors from end of april. Sow in rows 10 cm apart or broadcast the seeds. Cover with a thin layer of soil. Keep moist and weedfree. Thin the seedlings to 20 cm apart, when they're large enough to handle. Pheasant's Eye will re-sown itself. Very attractive to bees and butterflies. This annual is very well suited for a wild garden.
