Buttercup

The Buttercup is native to the Netherlands and Belgium. It is a native species that is very common in our country and large parts of Europe in meadows, roadsides, on dike slopes, along forest paths, and in hay fields. It is a member of the Ranunculaceae family (Ranunculaceae) just like: field buttercup, Alpine aconite, Alpine anemone, Blue Monkshood, Wood anemone, Yellow anemone, Yellow Monkshood and Miss-in-Green. This plant is loved by bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects. It is also a gestation plant for various bees and butterflies. Buttercup isn't evergreen. Hardy perennial. Note: This plant is poisonous!
