Hot pepper Fatalii is a very hot pepper originally from Southern or Central Africa. This cultivar of Capsicum chinense produces an abundance of large hot peppers that can grow up to 7 - 9 cm long and 2 - 3 cm wide. These large hot peppers are very hot, according to some even extremely hot. But despite this heat, these hot peppers have a nice fruity and citrus-like flavour. The hot pepper ripens from green to yellow. The fruits are irregular in shape and taper downwards. The heat of this hot pepper is sometimes compared to the heat of a habanero pepper, from which this Fatalii pepper is probably derived. Hot pepper Fatalii is often used in hot sauces together with e.g. lime and lemon. The heat of this hot pepper can also be mitigated by using oil and nuts. Fatalii in sauces is often mixed with fruits like e.g. pineapple and mango. This hot pepper can also be used freshly diced to add flavour, spice and heat to dressings, barbecue sauces, salsas, chutneys and marinades. All dishes that could use some spice could also use some Fatalii. This hot pepper has a thin wall and this makes it perfect for drying. After completely drying these hot peppers, powder or flakes can also be made from Fatalii.

You can also make sambal, chilli jam and chilli sauce from chillies. You can also add chillies to sauces, soups and other dishes which can use some spice.
