Runner Bean Golden Gate is an organically grown, very deliciously flavoured and tender runner bean variety. This medium early variety produces a prolific amount of deliciously flavoured, very tender, stringless and light yellow coloured runner beans. This middle early variety can be grown outdoors or in a greenhouse. Golden Gate is resistant against the Rolmozaïekvirus. This variety has a very good harvest and can be harvested much longer than other runner bean varieties.
Use Golden Gate in stews, stir-fries, in salads, shortly cooked as vegetable and in all dishes with runner beans. Non hardy annual. Height: 175 - 180 cm.

Sow indoors from the beginning of april, about 6 weeks for the last nightfrost. Sow the seeds about 3 - 4 cm deep in seperate pots with moist potting soil. Runner beans are dark germinators. The seeds can also be soaked about 48 hours prior to sowing in tepid water. Keep the temperature as even as possible between 18 - 22°C.
Sow outdoors on a sunny and sheltered plot from the middle of may, when there's no longer any danger of nightfrost and the sun has warmed the soil. Beans hate cold soil. Give the plants a very sturdy support. Keep picking regurlarly to stimulate the growth.
