Mini Bell yellow is a very productive, low growing, strong plant and it produces a prolific amount of small, bell pepper-shaped fruits that grow to about 4-5 cm in size. The delicious, sweet flavoured peppers ripen from dark green to bright yellow. This easy and fast growing variety is very well suited for growing in cooler climates. It can also be grown outdoors in large pots on a sunny spot with some shelter. Harvest the sweet peppers regularly to prolong the flowering and growing of new fruits till the end of summer. Soak, for a faster germination, the seeds about 12 hours prior to sowing in tepid water. This softens the seeds and make the germination a bit easier. Sow from february on in trays with some moist pottingsoil. Sow shallow and thinly and cover the seeds with a tiny layer of soil. Put the trays in a propagator with lid to keep the temperature as even and constant as possible. This helps also with the germination. Don't let the temperature drop during the night. Remove the lid when the seedlings emerge. Keep moist, warm and light. Transplant the seedlings to large, individual pots after approx. 2 - 3 weeks.
Transplant Your seedlings, after the Ice Saints have gone (half may), and there's no longer any danger of nightsfrost, outdoors in a greenhouse or hothouse. Sweet peppers love warmth and they need a lot of warmth, sunlight and shelter for a good harvest. Give Your plants a sturdy support and from the moment the fruits are going to set each week some liquid fertilizer. Harvest the sweet peppers by cutting them with scissors of the plant or by twisting them of the plant.
